LootRush Eliminates All Barriers of Entry to Play Web 3 Games
Interest in games that incorporate blockchain, NFTs, and crypto continues to experience high growth, but interest doesn’t always equal adoption. There are three major problems that developers and publishers are facing for massive adoption: they are technically challenging to set up, might be expensive, and can take hours to start playing.
When I founded LootRush in late 2021, my team’s mission was to eliminate all of the tiresome barriers of entry that can take hours for players just to play great games. What if playing a game with Web 3 technology was as easy as playing a game on Steam or Mobile Game?
Playing a game on Steam is as easy as installing the Steam client, buying the game you want and then downloading it to play. Usually within a few clicks, you are enjoying the latest and greatest PC video game. But, to play video games using web 3 technologies, players experience a high barrier of entry. And, as interest in these types of video games continue to skyrocket, players are looking for ways to go from intent to enjoyment in as little time, with as little cost, as possible.

Now that we have made playing games like Axie Infinity easy, affordable, and fast, we are quickly approaching our official launch. To help us, we decided to raise capital to facilitate planned growth while maintaining our spirit and our mission.
We are very excited to announce that we closed a Seed Round of $12M, led by web3 and crypto firm Paradigm, and with substantial participation from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). The round also included support from Y Combinator, Brex founders, and a group of angel investors, including the founders of Axie Infinity, Plaid, Wildlife Studios, Dapper Labs, The Chainsmokers, and Vivi Nevo.
